It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to Kochi, the Queen of the Arabian Sea, for the 87th Annual Conference of The Association of Surgeons of India – ASICON 2027.
Kochi (formerly Cochin) is a vibrant port city in Kerala that serves as the commercial hub of the state. It beautifully blends modern urban development with a rich colonial heritage, serene backwaters and a bustling international harbor, making it an ideal destination for a memorable scientific gathering.
I am delighted that ASICON 2027 is being organized under the inspiring leadership of Chief Mentor and Advisor to the ASI Executive Committee, Past President ASI, Respected Dr. Santhosh John Abraham, along with Organising Chairman Dr. Mohamed Ismail, Organising Secretaries Dr. C. J. Varghese and Dr. Sreejayan M. P., Treasurer Dr. M. S. Sulfekar, and the entire Organising Committee. They are ably supported by Chairman, Kerala State Chapter of ASI, Dr. Sajikumar N. R., Secretary Dr. Renjin R. P., the Executive Committee and the dedicated members of the Kerala State Chapter of ASI.
I am confident that ASICON 2027 will be a milestone conference and will be remembered for years to come for its outstanding scientific deliberations, exceptional hospitality and thoughtfully curated social and outdoor activities. The icing on the cake is that this prestigious conference is being hosted during the Golden Jubilee Year of the Kerala State Chapter of ASI, at the magnificent Grand Hyatt, Kochi, a world-class five-star venue.
Building upon the rich legacy of the previous two ASICONs, I am certain that ASICON 2027 will uphold the highest standards of academic excellence and fellowship, emerging as yet another landmark event in the illustrious history of our Association.
I once again extend a warm invitation to all of you to join us at ASICON 2027—a grand confluence of surgeons and the most cherished annual academic and social gathering of The Association of Surgeons of India.
